Anjuna is a five square mile enclosure nestling between the Arabian Sea and the Hill overlooking the beach. The beach is known for its swaying palms, soft sands and natural beauty.
It has an unusual rocky formation overlying a cove of white sand and black rock that juts into the Sea. Famous throughout Goa for its Wednesday flea market, Anjuna has long held the mantle of Goa’s favourite ‘hippy beach’. The beach itself – at the southern end at least is one of the most alluring in North Goa, and since it’s not easily accessible from the village, it’s rarely crowded.
