Hotel Astoria is situated between the highly popular Wednesday Flea Market in Anjuna and the Friday Bazaar at Mapusa. Our family-run heritage establishment has been set amidst the peace, tranquility and simplicity of the emerald valley of Assagao in North Goa. The property nestles in the cool shade of time-matured mango trees and swaying coconut palms, in traditional Goan leisure, on a naturally terraced landscape. Moreover, you are in the lap of nature in a green valley, with the sweet songs of the bulbuls and birds of colourful plumage.
Being close to the sandy beaches in North Goa -Anjuna, Vagator, Baga, Calangute, Sinquerim, Candolim, Morjim, Ashvem and Arambol - it's a favoured haunt of tourists, who drop in for lunch or dinner en route to Anjuna beach, and often book a room enraptured by the natural surroundings and traditional Goan hospitality.
Sprawled over 75 endless acres in idyllic South Goa, the property boasts a 12 hole, par 3 golf course for the aficionados. And if you prefer to unwind by not doing anything at all, you have the Mobor Beach pretty much to yourself. The bustling fishing village along the Sal River, to the south, offers a fascinating insight into how the lucky locals of Goa live.
In 1996, we bought an old farm house in Assagao's Valley of Flowers, a serene setting with a generous garden filled with mango, teak and coconut palms.
Situated in Divar Island, just 10 kms from Panaji, Devaaya Ayurveda and Nature Cure Centre is set on a lush five acre property amidst swaying palms. Devaaya consists of 60 luxurious rooms built in true Goan style cottages. The ambience, serenity with only the sound of the trees and the birds makes Devaaya a piece of paradise.
