Ram Navami to be celebrated today

KERI: Ram Navami will be celebrated in Goa on Friday. The ninth day of the bright part of Chaitra, the first month in the Hindu calendar, is celebrated as Ram Navami in Goa. Shri Ram is one of the ten incarnations of Lord Vishnu.

Shripad launches Margao Shigmo

MARGAO: Miffed at the fact that they were denied permission to organize Shigmo festivities in Margao by South Goa district Collectorate N D Agrawal, the Shigmo committee led by Vasant Shirdokar served a legal notice to the Shigmo committee headed by former Fatorda MLA Damodar 'Damu' Naik over the use of the common committee name, 'Madgao Shigmotsav Samiti'.
