PANAJI: While the Goa state BJP three days ago urged the Manohar Parrikar-led government to expedite investigation against former chief minister Digambar Kamat and his ministerial colleagues Churchill Alemao and Vishwajit Rane for corruption, the chief minister on Thursday on the social networking site has said the Cyberage scheme initiated by him more than ten years ago, had become "a source of financial mismanagement in the previous government".

PANAJI: The order of the Goa TCP board to remove the illegal compound wall of former TCP minister Atanasio Monserrate's son, Amit, has evoked mixed feelings from the petitioner - Goa's first chief town planner S P Deshpande.
PANAJI: The government has directed the North Goa Planning and Development Authority (NGPDA) to remove the unauthorized encroachment at Miramar by Amit Monserrate, son of former TCP minister Atanasio Monserrate. NGPDA has not been set any deadline for the task.
PANAJI: It appears that the BJP-led government hasn't taken too kindly to the parivartan in the Corporation of the City of Panaji (CCP). Panaji mayor Surendra Furtado on Friday stated that the state BJP government was deliberately creating hurdles for his administration and not cooperating with CCP. "This government is trying to sabotage me. They have not yet released funds amounting to Rs 1 cr to contractors for works undertaken," Furtado said.
