PANAJI: The high court of Bombay at Goa issued a notice to the state government on a petition filed by social activist Aires Rodrigues challenging the selection of journalist Sandesh Prabhudessai as state information commissioner (SIC).

PANAJI: Social activist Aires Rodrigues moved the high court of Bombay at Goa seeking a direction to the state government to restrain it from appointing journalist Sandesh Prabhudesai as state information commissioner (SIC). The matter is likely to come up before the high court on August 13, Rodrigues told TOI.
PANAJI: Differing from party spokesperson Wilfred Mesquita's statement on dance bars, Calangute MLA Michael Lobo said that he will oppose dance bars if permissions are given by the government even as he refused to comment on the senior leader's comment.
