Builder asked to show cause for tarring road

MARGAO: After several residents complained to the Margao Municipal Council about parking problems caused due to a blocked public access, MMC chief officer Deepali Naik issued a show cause notice to the builder for discrepancies that include tarring a road on land belonging to the MMC.

Forum orders builder to pay 80k to complainant

MARGAO: The South Goa district consumer disputes redressal forum (CDRF) directed Master Builders to pay a sum of 80,000 to the buyer of a flat, who complained that the leaking roof had rendered the flat uninhabitable. The forum, while disposing of a complaint filed by Nora Manchindranath Naik of Margao, directed Master Builders owned by Amar and Sandhiya Phaldessai to pay the amount towards waterproofing treatment of the slab and providing and fixing Mangalore tiles over it.

PANAJI: Goa is set to issue, for the first time, digitally signed maps, and record of rights documents to citizens. Officials said this will make Goa the first state in the country to issue digitally signed documents of the above nature that can be used as legal and valid documents in any court of law.
