Brahma Temple

It is said that the idol of Brahma ji was bought by the devotees who escaped from a place due to religious intolerance and placed it in Carambolim, Satari Taluka.

Shri Rudreshwar Temple

As the temple is located near the Harvelam waterfall, they both complement the marvelous beauty of each other. Shri Rudreshwar temple is also known as the sanctuary of Bhagwan Shiva. Due to the presence of the temple near the natural elements, people come to ruminate here.

It is believed that Bhagwan Shiva showers his grace on the devotees and fulfills their wishes of being healthy and wealthy. People also visit here to perform the final ceremonies of a deceased person.

Specialty – During the festival of Mahashivaratri, the sanctuary amazes visitors with its magnificent views. The shimmery showers of Harvelam waterfall on the image of Bhagwan Shiva also attract devotees.

Shri Saptakoteshwar temple

Saptakoteshwar temple also celebrates Gokulashtmi as the annual festival and one can see a large number of people attending this festival. If you want to see the ancient architectural styles, you can not afford to leave this temple during your Goa trip.

Mahalasa temple

There are so many stories and beliefs associated with the Mahalasa temple which are considered true by the locals. “It is said that the water pool inside the temple is a result of Goddes’s thump.” People also tell that at that specific point an idol of the Goddess was also seen.

The daily Aarti routines are attended by the hundreds of devotees in the temple. One can visit temple premises from 12:30 pm to 8:30 pm.

Mahalaxmi Temple

Another very significant temple of Goa is Mahalaxmi temple. Mostly the Hindus of north Goa visit the sacred place and attain the rich blessings of Maa Laxmi. 18 sects of Bhagawad Geeta are represented by the 18 splendid images at the sanctum of this temple.

The idol of Ma Laxmi is holding a linga on her head and bestows her devotees with health, peace and prosperity. The temple is opened at 6:30 am and closed at 8:30 pm.

Specialty – Navratri festivals and Chaitra Purnima are celebrated here with great fanfare.

Shri Ramnath Temple

There is a very deep and interesting fact related to the Ramnath temple of Goa. As it is mentioned in the Hindu scripture Ramayana that “before crossing the sea, Bhagwan Ram worshiped Shiva and Ramnath is one of the forms of Shiva” so this temple became very important for the people of Goa.

You can visit here to pray between 5:00 am and 8:00 pm.

Shri Bhagwati Temple

One of the forms of Goddess Laxmi, Devi Bhagwati is worshiped here and during the festivals especially Dussehra, the beauty and celebration are worth watching.

At the entrance, you can see two big black elephants which seem to welcome the devotees. The temple is approximately 500 years old hence it holds the faith of several people.

Shri Shantadurga Temple

As the name signifies, it is a place of eternal peace that every visitor can sense here. The amazing fact related to the Shantadurga temple is it is found in three different locations and one of that locations is Quepem where not only Hindus but Christians also visit and seek the blessings in form of peace. This signifies that the almighty love each child equally.

The other two locations are Kavlem and Pemem. From 7:00 to 10:00 pm you can visit this temple.

Maruti temple

Shri Damodar Temple

It is also a place of Bhagwan Shiva who impersonated himself in Shri Damodar here. The presence of the Kushawati river makes it more divine as it is believed that the water of the Kushawati river can cure the illness of the body.

The only temple for the Jain practitioners in Goa is 1008 Shri Adinath Digambar Jain Mandir. It is not only a devotional place but one can stay here and savor the plain, vegetarian food. The idols of Jain deities are built of white marble which amplifies the positive and peaceful vibes in the entire premises.

Other people can also visit here and seek the solitude of meditation practices. But they must follow the rules of this divine place.
